The hidden treasure of the ancient city of Patan. Pim Bahal Pond was built in the 14th Century and still one of the famous historical ponds in Kathmandu Valley. Walk around the pond you will pass a 600 plus years old whitewashed stupa that was once damaged by Muslim invader Samsuddin Illiyas (Military General of Bengal) in 1357 but later restored. The pond was built as an alternative source of water consumption and helps to maintain the level of underground water. Currently, the Pim Bahal Pond serves as an important asset for the tourism industry of Nepal and is a must visit place for all the travelers coming to the city.
